Pipe Down

Pipe Down is an hour long documentary that tells the story of a rural community in Co. Mayo in Ireland, who have been battling the oil giant Shell over their plans to put a dangerous raw gas pipeline through the community and complete construction of a gas processing terminal that is a threat to their delicate environment.

  1. I don't know much about this issue but if this gas pipeline is going to adversely affect the public in Ireland then the pipeline shouldn't be built.

  2. Yes Teresa, it has already adversely affected the community. This documentary is released as a movie nationwide from tomorrow, 3rd Dec. It is vital that it gets publicity. At the end of the movie it tells that the two key men involved have since suffered harm, one by his boat being sunk, the other needing hospitalization after an attack. It is unbelievable what Shell have done to one of the most beautiful, previously unspoiled areas of the North West of Ireland.
